As band leader Nicole Davis explains:
“We’re really excited about sharing our unique sound with audiences across the region as part of this special five date tour. We’ve been collaborating with other young musicians and artists from across the region to create a number of powerful new songs, each with an important message, that will be showcased as part of the tour.
“Members of Standing Upright in North Tyneside, Jack Drum Arts in County Durham and Band Jam at Musinc in Middlesbrough as well as musician, actor and rapper Kema Kay will each join us to support a gig on their home turf. We hope that young people from a range of backgrounds, many who have never experienced a gig before, will come together to enjoy this free live music event in their local community.”
Formed in 2013, Reality Boots is made up of talented members of Skimstone Arts’ Young Artist Collective. Working together they have created a back catalogue of powerful songs, raps and sound pieces inspired by strong themes. In 2022 Reality Boots will continue to harmonise individual voices striking, fierce, gentle, powerful and haunting catchy chords of inclusion and inspiration to be enjoyed by everyone.
