Reality Boots: Brighter Day 2022 Tour

In 2013 Skimstone Arts’ Young Artist Collective created a band of passionate individual voices, each with unique experiences. Working together they have created a back catalogue of powerful songs, raps and sound pieces inspired by strong themes. In 2022 this band continues to harmonise individual voices striking fierce, gentle, powerful, haunting, catchy chords of inclusion and inspiration for us all. That band is Reality Boots.

Ahead of the launch of their third album Stronger Together the band has been touring the North East collaborating with other artists to inspire young people with songs infused with various genres to get feet tapping and minds thinking. Join Reality Boots for an evening of eclectic music as part of their Brighter Day 2022 North East tour.

Brighter Day Tour Dates

  • Friday 17 June, The Customs House, South Shields

  • Saturday 18 June, The Exchange, North Shields

  • Tuesday 21 June, Middlesbrough Town Hall

  • Friday 24 June, Bishop Auckland Town Hall

We’re really excited about sharing our unique sound with audiences across the region as part of this special six date tour. We’ve been collaborating with other young musicians and artists from across the region to create a number of powerful new songs, each with an important message, that will be showcased as part of the tour.

Members of Standing Upright in North Tyneside, Jack Drum Arts in County Durham and Band Jam at Musinc in Middlesbrough as well as musician, actor and rapper Kema Kay will each join us to support a gig on their home turf. We hope that young people from a range of backgrounds, many who have never experienced a gig before, will come together to enjoy this free live music event in their local community.
