Peace Night

Peace Night Hexham Together for Ukraine in collaboration with Skimstone Arts
23-24 Feb 2024

In January 2024 we held our Holocaust Memorial Day event A Night of Fear and Freedom. Performances and stories from our event  were invited to be part of Peace Night, an event made in collaboration with Hexham Together for Ukraine.

Fear or Freedom? Exhibition is a  powerful new photographic and text exhibition, which will now be displayed in Hexham Abbey from 23rd February - 29th March.

Hexham Together for Ukraine hosted a two-part Peace Journey, inviting the local community to reflect on the devastating impact of war, urging us all to join our voices for the cause of peace as we mark the second anniversary of the beginning of the war in Ukraine on 24 February. Peace Night was an evening within Hexham Together for Ukraine's Peace Journey events. The night included powerful music, movement performances and visual art in Hexham Abbey.

"Claire Webster Saaremets... You directed and created a wonderful composed event, which followed the peace journey perfectly and that the audience understood the message of the evening.
