Exhibitions

IMG_9737.jpeg
We commission and co-create exhibitions with our communities working with partners to showcase authentic artworks to audiences.

Our exhibitions give a voice to diverse artists and communities and explore themes which are important to them, linking to national and international events. These include responses to true stories and social action of those including young and older people, those with lived refugee experience and/or living in areas of poverty. They include photography and film that reflects surviving genocide, losing and finding new homelands, and how others have shown extraordinary kindness and courage.

Recent exhibitions include:

“I wanted to tell people about peace and working for humanity. I was a child and teenager in war. I want to change things. I feel very good that you've helped me and everyone at Skimstone Arts to understand and make this film and exhibition.” Shahor Omar, Associate Artist and photojournalist living with refugee experience.
